66 thoughts on “Poll: Should the U.S. Military Launch a Military Attack Against Syria?

  1. This President has become a HYPOCRIT! The President says he wants to solicit other opinions and ideas by soliciting a vote in Congress on military action in Syria, but today he says that it does not matter how Congress votes, he is still doing what he thinks is right for "National Security". You can't make this stuff up, its the exact opposite of what he said during his Presidential campaign in 2007.

  2. no, no, no,,,,,,,,, why show how stupid our leaders are by letting them do such silly stunts ????????????? nonononononononono

  3. Some very excellent commentary on this Blog, but several commentators just don't get it. Religion has nothing to do with U.S. Governmental policy. Its called Separation of Church and State. So its not about Jesus Christ, its about people in government who are making these decisions.

    1. Sir,

May I suggest that you read about Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, appointed by FDR, and who was the real person who behind Separation of Church and State in our country (1947). I was astonished concerning his past association with a particular group, and you might be, too.

  4. what is new, you only need to know one thing, jesus is still lord, of course the real truth don't ever seem to matter, and as far as the politicians, they don't have a clue, we had an embassy destroyed and the occupants killed and a woman stand up and say she take's full responsibility, and yet nothing was done,(oh, sorry about that she did quit her job) so if we can't defend our own who are we suppose to defend, WHAT IS NEW?

    1. what does jesus is still lord have to do with this blog? Jesus is clearly not willing to do anything about Syria.

    2. Yep, Jesus is still Lord and the truth will prevail.

As St Paul has it: For we can do nothing against the truth: but for the truth. 2 Corinthians 13:8

Jesus makes it even plainer: I am the vine: you the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. John 15:5.

Without Him WE CAN DO NOTHING. Is the U.S. government without Him? You bet, and from the get go. He is Constitutionally prohibited!

No wonder this sad sack "government" makes perpetual war while peace never arrives. It is already totalitarian in practice. Doubt that? Consider the invasive electronic snooping & Cameras everywhere. The savage butchery of over 60,000,000 unborn children and Sodomy raised to a cheap civil right. Needless to say this government's persistant attack on Christians is another example that it is antichrist.

No wonder it loves war so much---and which governments benefit from all this monstrous killing?

  5. It is apparent from your poll and Comments on the Blog that voters in the U.S., including myself, do not want our military to start bombing Libya, just like the vast majority of U.S. citizens want to bring Edward Snowden home with full immunity to testify against those in the NSA who lied in front of Congress. Do you think our Government will ever listen to its citizens or will they just continue to ignore those whom they are supposed to represent, and continue to hide the liars and cheaters in U.S. Government that need to exposed and prosecuted, if necessary. Not only is Obama to blame, but this has been the least productive Congress in history. Perhaps no legislation is better than bad legislation from this presently elected group.

    1. Do you think our Government will ever listen to its citizens
-->Ha-Ha, I needed a good laugh. If you're not in the "society is to blame" sociopath group you aren't heard.
Will they just continue to ignore those whom they are supposed to represent, and continue to hide the liars and cheaters in U.S. Government that need to exposed and prosecuted, if necessary.
      -->uhhhhhhhhh.... yeah!
Not only is Obama to blame,
      as was bush, clinton, etc....
but this has been the least productive Congress in history.
      -->Thanks God!
Perhaps no legislation is better than bad legislation from this presently elected group.
---> Or any other since about 1990

      1. What is your point? That the U.S. Government has never listened to its citizens before and expecting same is a "fairy tale"? Well the answer to that is called "Elections"!

        1. James, "elections" are the neo-con reply (Sorry for the label!)

The Democratic Party is Hell bent to establish every crime against God & Man it can drool off it's semen stained lips as a "civil right."

The Republican Party, on the other hand, shakes it's head mumbles "that's terrible" BUT when in power DOES NOT chandge direction and merely slows down to give a false impression that 'things will change"

No wonder the Republicrats don't like Monarchy as a form of Government. At least there is a 50/50 chance the King will fear God's Justice and act upon it.

It should be noted that most of the U.S. presidents were/are Masons, DEFINED by the Church as the "Synagogue of Satan" and First Born of the Devil." The same openly admitted by Masons of "high degree."

Without Christ "we can do nothing." With him all things are possible.
No wonder the feds are trying to stamp out Christianity whereever they find it. They will fail just like the monsters that preceded them.

          1. This country was founded on the principles pronounced in the Constitution of the United States. People immigrated to the U.S. so they could practice their religion of choice. Hence the First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ....". Consequently it is not the deceased Jesus Christ who makes the decision to send missiles to Syria, but our own President Obama. Should the President take this unilateral action it would not only be a mistake but a violation of own Constitution that delineates the powers of the Executive and Legislative Branch. To me it would be legal justification for his removal of office by Congress.

  6. russia & china voted down global sanctions on syria for use of chemical weapons. the aftermath responsibility of of civilian collateral damage now lies on their shoulders along with, of course, the perpetrators of these weapons. let's see our everpresent news media put the camera on those nations .
place the blame & responsibility where it belongs. and let's stop u.s. media from constantly baiting u.s. to get involved.

  7. No bombing. Nothing to gain from it. Obama should only do it if some of our cruse missiles are about to expire.

  8. Since both sides in this conflict are using chemical weapons why are we attacking? Perhaps Obama wants to punish them for not accepting gay marriage.

  9. At issue is Obama's narcisstic ego and nothing more. Sadly he doesn't realize he has no "face" to loose, but the U S has plenty with nothing on the up side.

    1. I agree, Frank. Obama's ego at stake since he's the one who "drew the red line"!! His wife finally gave up on forcing "healthy" foods on American children when the majority quit eating school food. So, when will Obama take a hint? I hope before any missiles are launched. Yes, there is no benefit to us to attack Syria--only negatives such as more wounded or dead veterans.

  10. NO, NO, NO!!! Have we forgotten 9/11/2001 and 9/11/2012 when all moslem world was celebrating our tragedy. Now they are asking to save their sons, the sons that were dancing on the streets of Damascus on 9/11/2001.

  11. After reading all these "opinions", I whole- heatedly
agree with John Stubin's incite full and very
    accurate biblical take!
I'm ready John! It's obvious you are too.
God bless you bro, God bless America, and God
    Bless Israel!

  12. The launching of war against yet another small country testifies not
only to the brutality, but also the bankruptcy of American and European
capitalism and the entire world system based on exploitation and
plunder. The only way out of the bloody dead end of capitalism and
imperialism is through the eradication of the elite parasites.

    1. And of course the acceptance of communism as the only way to justice?
      - Just curious about your alternative to capitalism

      1. Frank, Communism or Capitalism? It is interesting to note that Communist China is now employing Capitalist means to accomplish Communist ends. Both devoid of Justice and Mercy. Two steps forward and one step back, but the evil direction does not change.

To this poor correspondent it looks like both systems are geared to the same end which is the enslavement of all men under the reign of a demonic oligarchy.

You gotta give the devil and his servants on Earth their due, the planning is brilliant. Use the left hand (Communism) to jab, terrorize and soften up and the right hand (Capitolism) for the knock out blow for the benefit of insiders running things. That's show biz...

We are about 700-800 years behind a system with great success in the hearts of men, the Social reign of Christ the King in which both men and governments were much more secure in their lives on Earth...Not to mention their long tem destiny.

  13. Generally, most of here INO Blog Posts are replied or participated by very few or none, considering numbers of replies to this post, we can assume that how much serious matter this is, Government should and must take it as an important warning bell.

  14. Why is anyone worried?; Unless it's women, children or Christians, this administration will not attack.
The only other thing under attack is our civil rights, and that's not going to end anytime soon.
If I hear there was an attack, I won't believe it unless there's video, which conveniently enough, there won't be.

    1. Right on with the civil rights comment. This anti American,
racist, muslim sympathizing socialist has himself between a rock and a hard place. Regardless of what he does there will be enough DUMB MINIONS and spoiled brats around to help him continue the destruction of this once great country. I don"t have a warm fuzzy feeling about most of our politicians, but this bozo scares the bejesus out of me. JD

  15. Secretary of State John Kerry said that it was "undeniable" that the Syrian government used chemical weapons. And his EVIDENCE???

Maybe these weapons are under his desk, just like the WMDs were under Bush's desk...

Masonic authors claim Masonry is the Church of Satan. It is surely worth considering that these U.S. "presidents" are for the most part Masons. The few exceptions are clearly in the service of Masonry.

Perpetual war for perpetual "peace" tearing limbs off of young men in the military, not to mention the "collateral damage" done to women & children. But what the heck these dead are now so commonplace as to become merely a footnote.

All this piled on 60,000,000 dead American babies ripped apart in thier mother's wombs added to the "civil right" of sodomy. The list of modern political & judicial transgressions is endless. These monstrous crimes suggest justice might be done to this God forsaken land. Hopefully that justice will be followed by Mercy!

  16. How dumb are you, remember Iraq's WMD"s and Iraqies throwing babies out of incubaters ? UN pupets are not even allowed to investigate who used the chemical {if any were used to begin with}. Lets destablize the whole middle east so the bankers and the military industrial complex can make more money off the slaughter. Mabe we should contiue with setting the stage for WW3. You know we have to reduce the worlds population for our global masters anyway. How dumb are we when we put Al-cia-da in charge. How many christians will you allow these people to kill how many churches will burn? This is what you uninformed and dupped people are advocating.

  17. Economy in the toilet?
    Unemployment going up?
    Currency rapidly bring debased?
    National debt gone ballistic?
Trillion dollar deficits to infinity and beyond?
Absolutely no way to fix anything?

    Hey, time for another war!!!

  18. Wow, when there is a hot button political article, look at all of the responses. When there is something actually about helping your bottom line and that of your family, crickets chirp and virtually no responses. No wonder so many underperform in every market and probably in other areas of life as well.

  19. Wake up people!! How stupid do our government think we are? We need another war like we all Americans need a hole in our brains. Are we going to start another "pretend masses of destruction" like from Iraq?? Then 10 years later will say " oops" That's enough government stupidity! We need to take care of our people. We could use all of the waste of money wars to provide FREE HEALTH CARE!
We are not the f%^*#} mothers of the world!

  20. How many more wars do we need to be involved in? We have a 16 trillion dollar debt that our grandchildren will
have to bear the burden. Our congress can not decide on a budget. Our brave soldiers come home from the wars
with all kinds of problems, and our government does not take proper care of them. What have we accomplished
by interfering with other countries problems? We are hated by the people of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. Let them handle their own problems.

    1. Actually it's $17 trillion and tens of trilions more in future unfunded liabilities. "All those wars" are a drop in the bucket, especially as a huge chunk of the national defense expenditure goes towards troop pay, dependent care, housing, health, you know.... welfare. It's just not spent the way you would perhaps like. As for "bearing the burden" I would not worry, for they won't be able to bear it either, no one will. It won't every be paid down, or off, or anything remotely close.

  21. We have Russia and China and other countries which all know that Mideast situations will ripple through every ones life. not only in the obvious ways but in the less obvious but very real actions during these times where it is in fact a lot more than most can begin to perceive. Why should china and Russia and other allied countries act and risk further ensuing changes economically and the lives of there people. in ways we are the one that caused ensuing actions which have rippled through the world economy and lives everywhere. They also need the relationships with the Mideast contacts for there own economic future adjustments at this relative time. so what is the actions of our heads of each country talking about! obviously it is actions which is based on how the instability in the Mideast and the Arab spring is a future where those who depend on oil and being able to continue in their economic adjustments which is a global action where it is becoming more of acting in ways more dependent on countries over there is to a lesser degree on America who has led the way and is now caught in many ways in actions which have to be balanced with the leaders of allied countries. who is to take the actions and if so, is it one or is it those who stand in alliance and perceiving changes which are always happening and have to be adjusted. China will not stop and doesn't have too. the only way is for all of us to move at every level and realize China will consume all the oil it can regardless of the costs of actions which exist out side of it's own growth. it is much more than the use of biological weapons. military action at what cost to our economy and future and will our allies be there for us as we have always been for them.

  22. the u.s. should not involve itself in yet another conflict far from its borders. let the mid east resolve its own problems, settle their own scores. we can't dictate their solutions. let the rich states of saudi arabia and the emirates use their resources to aid the unfortunate refugees of these conflicts. our involvement will only make us a target,,, again.
we should point to ban ki moon, UN head & question why he hasn't made some influential statement if this situation is so dire. we should point some responsibility to russia & the rest of asia, who are close neighbors.
but the u.s. has been involved in far too many global conflicts far from our own neighborhood.

    1. Jean and most of the others are correct: the U.S. is not the global Superman, spawned in a petri dish, fathered by ideology, wealth and power, fashioned to right all wrongs.

Assad's government had no logical motive to unleash gas upon its people. The inspectors have not yet determined which side has done so. The U.S. has no right to unilaterally send in missiles, missiles which it has determined will just destroy military bases and similar sites. Doing this simply pushes the U.S. further to the reasons to hate it. Why? Missiles will kill many in the military who are serving Assad but who are innocent in every sense as servants of their country. Missiles will have collateral damage among civilians and their homes and families. The U.S. has no unilateral right to pursue this approach.

When the dust of war in Syria has settled, ever more civilians will hate the U.S., on one side or on both sides. The anti-U.S. forces among the insurgents are well known to be ready to seize government controls. The civilians on either side have suffered the most, and missiles will not make them our friends. The religious factor on both sides and within each side is a totally unpredictable element as the civil conflict dies down. Added to this factor is the political factor: secular and free side vs. Islamists vs. Islamists allied with al-Quaeda.

The U.S. must offer itself as a mediator. It must offer generous humanitarian aid to the refugees. When the dust of war has ended, these 1.5 million suffering refugees will remember that their comfort and aid came from the U.S. in their moment of trial, and they will be forever grateful for at least one moment of peace through American aid. They will not hate. They will remember in their moment of tragedy.

  23. The war, terrorism, strife, and suffering originating in the middle east is spiritual warfare fueled by hatred of God's chosen people. It has been going on for over 2000 years, and it is the heighth of stupidity for us to think we can solve it. We see end time Bible Prophecy unfolding before our very eyes at an ever increasing pace. We should only get invovled as Israel's ally and protector, with a solid agreement with them as to our respective roles. Having full support of NATO and our other friends and allies around the world would be great, but I don't expect we'll have 100% support. If we as a nation abandon Israel, we as a nation are finished. Any other course of action will spell disaster in the middle east and for the US. I invite any who are interested to study end time prophesy, especially the Books of Daniel and Revelation.

    1. That it's the biggest load of *^%# I have ever heard! Who in the hell do you think we are to get our nose into every bodies business . That's enough of our government using our tax money to kill people.
What is wrong with you folks!

      1. John Shubin is right if US will stop supporting Israel it will go the way of SPAIN- superpower 500 years ago, if not worth.- GOD BLESS AMERICA and ISRAEL. Europe is probably paying for its sins.

    2. I am in full agreement with John Shubin. We will always have wars and rumors of wars until Christ's return.

I don't understand why the U.S. doesn't want to help Israel, and yet Obama wants to get involved in Syria. Daily threats and bombings occur in Israel, and yet we have no outrage in Washington! Israel is our friend, not the Muslims, many of whom hate us and wish us harm.

I also don't understand how Obama can make this decision without support of Congress or the American people. He must be thinking he's above the law, or maybe he thinks himself divine?

John, ignore the ignorant comments from the atheists among us--they also will be with us until the end.

  24. How can we sit by and watch men, women and children be slaughtered by Asad? Do we stand for anything decent in this world? We asked other countries to help US in our revolution didn't we? We are being seen as a weak, untrustworthy nation in the eyes of others. Enough is enough. Asad was warned. Now, let us act on the side of humanity!

    1. I UNDERSTAND YOUR THOUGHTS AND REASONING ,THEY ARE NOBLE AND FROM YOUR HART. BUT WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR ANY DISPUTE , WAR HAS NOT WORK FOR ANY COUNTRY TO SALVE CULTURAL OR TERRITORY DISPUTE. WAR ONLY BENEFITS THE SELF SERVING CORPORATIONS AND MANUFACTURERS OF WAR LOGISTICS. THIS IS THE REAL REASON WE THE USA PUSH FOR WARS ,NOT FOR HUMANITY PURPOSES AS YOU HENRY WOULD BELIEVE , WITH ALL GOOD INTENT. CORPORATE BACKED POLITICIANS AND OVER PAID LOBBYIST ,BANKS PROSPER WHILE OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN DIE FOR A LIE SPUN BY THOSE THAT MOST PROSPER FROM WAR AND GREED , FOR INSTANCE DID YOU KNOW THAT STANDARD OIL SUPPLIED OUR TROOPS WITH FUEL AND SUPPLIED THE GERMAN TROOPS AS WELL. WHILE GEN. PATTON WAS RUNNING ON FUMES UNABLE TO ADVANCE AT A TIMELY PACE . THIS COST OF THIS TRADEREST ACT WAS MORE AMERICAN LIVES . BLOOD ON STANDARD OILS HANDS. JUST ONE EXAMPLE .IF WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A ADVANCED MATURE RACE OF HUMANS WE SHOULD TRY TO REPRESENT SUCH A RACE. THOMAS EDISON STATES DEFINITION OF INSANITY [ REPEATING ANYTHING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS IS INSANITY . PEOPLE DIE AS A RESULT OF THE LUDICROUS ACTS OF WAR WITH THE SAME RESULTS . INSANITY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NATIONS, RELIGIONS COLOR , OR TERRITORY NEED TO BE NEGOTIATED USING THE GOLDEN RULE DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOUR SELF THE MOST UNUSED AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL MORELS TO LIVE BY. SORRY SO LONG WENDED BUT DON'T YOU AGREE .? IT IS TIME FOR THE HUMAN RACE TO CEASE HOSTILITIES AND FIND A COMPASSIONATE WAY OF SETTLING OUR DIFFERENCES. TIME TO GROW UP KIDS,

    2. Henry, the cost of war is high. Have any of you lost a friend or relative to war? Are you aware of the enormous backlog of veteran claims? It isn't always as simple as death and a beneficiary receiving a flat sum of money for their loss. The number of injured vets continues to mount and most will be permanently disabled for life. Does anyone know the staggering number of veterans exposed to Agent Orange who have multiple disabilities from it? Many gave birth to or fathered children with autism after being around this chemical in Viet Nam. The VA is still processing/delaying on claims from the 1960's.

We can't save the world, and sometimes we just have to keep our nose out of other countries' problems. And unless you are willing to put your life/limbs on the line, you should not be so willing to want to send others to battle, regardless of the cause!

  25. America can no longer afford to police the world especially in situations where both opposing sides are at best ambivalent to or worse case scenario despise the United States. It is a no win situation. We always engage with the intent of a limited involvement that turns into a long term human tragedy and financial drain on the U.S economy. So let me get this straight...... We see disturbing photographs of dead bodies (men, women, and most unfortunately children) and our response is to produce more of the same. War for the most part is insane and I do not believe we should be involved in the insanity unless we are attacked.

  26. This will be another disaster we can't get out of. The government that there is there now is probably better then the one that will take over.

  27. No we don't need t get into any more big messes send them guns, gas masks, food and medicines.
WHAT HAPPEN TO CROSSING THE RED LINE DID WE MOVE IT

  28. This is rule through KAOS. Syria was a flourishing country before the US started meddling in their affairs. Is this really spreading peace and democracy? I think not, for every nation the US has invaded ends up worse off then when the US arrived. One day all this warmongering will come back to bite the US and there will be no sympathy from the rest of the world who's lives have been directly impacted by US foreign policy.

  29. Yeah, another terror attack on more innocent people will further clear a mutual genocidal path for the US and Israel for pushing the obvious "in your face" New World Oxen. I do not believe or trust the US administration at all on the chemical weapons charade in Syria. The US is paying and arming the enemy, this is crazy stupid and desperate behavior. 9-11-01 was the start of this little season of horrors, and a few participating tyrant states will never win the world over by use of death squads or drones.

America will not stop manufacturing hell on earth. OK, who's next on the chopping block; we never seem to get a leg up on Iran......Oh well, thanks for the well crafted terror that never existed, but only thru you.

For now, assuredly mark off the 2 lead terror states as finished when the Russian coalition decimates America, and takes Israel captive. You don't think America will survive at this pace much longer? Be certain though that their hubris rule will give way to a far worse Empire, a curse is on the way. It will happen just as the 'enlightened ones' memorize sacred texts used as playbooks for manipulation by the oath keepers.

  30. Clint Eastwood was right. Obama is empty chair.
Too little too late. This is political move to shore up Muslim
    Brotherhood.

    1. Didn't Obama send millions to support the Muslim Brotherhood? Millions of OUR dollars, albeit they aren't worth much anymore.

Since when does the U.S. send money to religious organizations? I think OB should be impeached.

  31. We can't afford it financially or politically or militarily. This place is reportedly laced with chemical dust and IUDs. Our fearless leaders are going to lose another 5,000 troops because they have no way out once engaged. Reference the constant delays in evacuating Iran and Afghanistan. Or John Kerry's embarrising record on Vietnam. It's a civil war. If some rich contributor want the fight, they can hire the mercenaries from their budgets.

  32. Why now? Why THIS incident? The administration has already shown its colors by stepping back from doing anything about the genocide going on for the last x-teen months. The teleprompter has no skin in this game, right?

  33. We are so involved with everything. Who knows maybe we had something to do with it. Let us stay out of other countries business and try to get other nations to like us again.

    1. other nations should be begging to like us there is the system failure we pay other nations money to be our allies bad policy other nations should employ the us to be their protector some have it backasswards i think
