Top Performing ETFs in 2019

With the S&P 500 (SPX) ending the year up 28.9%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) rose 22.3%, and the NASDAQ (IXIC) increased by 35.2% in 2019, much of the year it felt like no matter what you were invested in you were making money. Clearly, leverage produced the biggest winners in 2019, but even if you’re like me and prefer to stay away from the levered products, you could have still beat the major indexes with a number of different investments made throughout a number of different countries around the world. So, going into 2020, just remember that there may be only one best ETF of the year, but you don’t have to pick the very best in order to beat the market and see sizeable returns.
