  1. Only reason i like stock splits of high priced stocks is that it is easier to sell covered calls

  2. Accordingly...............................One classic observation,

Splits and Bonus issues are confirmed weapon for " Distribution "

  3. Apple seems fairly priced and with Steve gone not so exciting as a growth stock. Will pay dividends just like Microsoft. At present I am anticipating probable trouble in Iran or Ukraine. Real trouble means oil and gold probably go up bigtime. Some oil and gold stocks are relative bargains. But I am not going all in. I think I recently read on this website that "you can't shoot fish in a rainbarrel if you don't have any ammunition".

  4. Yes, I will continue to accumulate shares when there are pull backs of 5% or more. Apple's share price may respond to the split much the same way the MasterCard share price reacted following its 10 for 1 split a couple of months ago. I consider Apple stock to be a stable investment for the future, and its dividend payments are icing on the cake.

  5. I own some Apple shares now and expect to add more in the coming weeks on any dips. I was extremely impressed with the direction their software is heading as outlined at the WWDC. And I expect their next round of iPhones and iPads to be important upgrades to take advantage of these software improvements. Any new devices will just be icing on the cake.

  6. Poorly asked question. I currently own Apple and will also buy more with split.

  7. Who cares? The price/value is identical, pre and post split. Anyone who wanted to own apple before the split would just buy fewer shares.

  8. Eventually. I think that there is much more upside in Apple although the dilution will take a long while to iron out. Most splits I've examined dipped immediately after the split but then rise. I consider that this being Apple, my prior observations may not be valid.

    1. I am happy to be able to buy in at this price, which also allows me to buy more shares than at the $600+ price
