MarketClub is Up and Running!
I think it says a lot about our company that everyone was glad to be back in the office this morning and getting back to normal. It probably has a little to do with the fact that we all had a touch of cabin fever, but really, we all missed doing what we do.
Since we're getting back in the swing of things, I thought it would be a good idea to update everyone on the upcoming webinar schedule. You can click on any of the links below to find out more about scheduled topics and register for these webinars:
- Still on schedule for next Friday February 19th at 4pm - MarketClub’s “Perfect Portfolio”
- The "Beginners Trading Terminology" webinar that was canceled last Friday has been rescheduled for Friday, February 26th at 4pm.
- MarketClub's "World Commodity Portfolio" which was originally scheduled for today has been canceled and rescheduled for Friday, March 5th at 4pm.
We apologize for any inconvenience that these snow delays may have caused, but we hope that you'll be able to join us for the the great topics that we have planned.
As always, I would love to hear your ideas for future MarketClub webinar topics and/or any feedback that you would like to share by emailing

.
Best wishes for a great weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day!

Investors and Traders Are Still Talking About This Trading Video
Attention all Trader's Blog readers:
This timeless video was first shown to MarketClub Members on 9/18/09 and bears watching again.
One of the oldest myths about trading is the buy and hold myth. While this strategy may have worked in certain markets at certain times, I do not believe we are in a time frame where this strategy is going to meet with a lot of success.
The world around us is changing rapidly and therefore it is important to have strategies that can change with this new regime.
In today’s video (first shown on 9/18/09) I’m going to show how the buy and hold strategy is flawed when you compare it to our “Trade Triangle” technology. I think you will be surprised at the results and how well you can do using this simple approach to markets.
There is no need to register for this video and of course you can watch it with my compliments. I highly recommend watching this video today, otherwise you risk missing out on a formula that provides a market proven strategy.
Enjoy the video and please give us your feedback on this blog.
All the best,

Of course we aren't psychos! Nonetheless, I want to direct your attention to the most powerful technology for producing positive changes in your trading. What’s that? No, this is not a" whiz bang" indicator or new method. Each of us has this, but few invest the time or manage this properly. What is it?
It is our minds!
That 6 inch space that rests between our 2 ears that leads and directs our every action. Everything you do in your trading every day starts as a thought! And I’m here to tell you after working with traders for over 14 years, it is simply a game changer when managed properly. Let’s look first at how we can optimize our minds through Trading State Management.

The 4 Cornerstones of ETF Options Trading
Today I'd like everyone to welcome Andrew Hart from ETFTradr.com. I asked Andrew to tackle ETF option's as these markets have been growing in popularity and complexity! Please enjoy the article, comment below with questions for Andrew, and visit ETFTradr.com.

Here's one for you new and intermediate options traders (though frankly, I think traders of all experience levels can benefit by getting back to basics). Want to know what I think are the four cornerstones of sound options investing? They aren't complicated, yet they seem to be elusive too much of the time. They are…
1. Invest in options that respond well to the underlying stock's movement (high delta)
2. Minimize time decay (the natural erosion of an option's value over time)
3. Buy enough time to capitalize on major moves (you don't have to hold it the whole time)
4. Minimize volatility (since volatility can shake up your confidence and your account balance)
