How To Use MarketClub's Trade Triangles

Know exactly when to get in and out of the market! The Trade Triangles are MarketClub's proprietary indicators. This system uses a variety of timing thresholds to produce signals on three charting timeframes. By confirming trends on more than one time frame, you are putting the mathematical odds in your favor that you will be on the winning side of that swing.

The Trade Triangle algorithm is comprised of weighted factors that include, but are not limited to price change, percentage change, moving averages, and new highs/lows. It is not intended to catch tops and bottoms, but instead, identifies the majority of a swing trend. The Triangles will always be produced regardless of trend strength, but they are best used when you have a significant trend in place. You can use the Chart Analysis Score or other technical analysis studies to ensure the trend strength is appropriate for trading.

Green Triangles suggest positive trends

How do I use the Trade Triangles?

Below are some suggested methods for incorporating the Trade Triangles into your own trading strategy.

For LONG-TERM traders:

Generally recommended for Equities, ETFs, Mutual Funds, and Indices.

Monthly Trade Triangles determine trend and possible entry points and exit points.

The last Monthly Trade Triangle issued should be used to identify the overall trend. If the Monthly Trade Triangle is green, you can use it as a potential entry point to a long position. You would then use the next red Monthly Trade Triangle as your potential exit point. If you were employing a "stop and reverse" type method, you could also use this red Monthly Triangle as a potential entry to a short position.

Always trade with the trend and use appropriate money management. You can use the Chart Analysis Score in addition to other technical analysis studies to ensure the trend strength is appropriate for trading.

How do I find recent Trade Triangles?

Use MarketClub's Recent Trade Triangles scan to help you filter down the most recent Trade Triangles for the daily, weekly and monthly time periods.
