Soybean prices are at an all-time high as crops wilt under a blanket of hot, dry weather.

Depending on who you speak to, the stock market is either going to fall off a fiscal cliff or the stock market is going to make new highs.

The intermediate-term trend is positive, however that trend is tempered by the longer term trend that we follow. The long-term trend indicates that the stock market remains in a bear market and that the current rally is just a counter-trend rally in a bear market.

Stocks Shrug Off Early Volatility To Close Firmly Positive

(RTTNews) - After seeing considerable volatility in morning trading, stocks moved mostly higher over the course of the trading session on Tuesday. The markets benefited from a positive reaction to the latest batch of earnings news as well as the release of largely upbeat U.S. economic data.

The major averages moved roughly sideways going into the close, hovering firmly in positive territory. The Dow climbed 78.33 points or 0.6 percent to 12,805.54, the Nasdaq rose 13.10 points or 0.5 percent to 2,910.04 and the S&P 500 advanced 10.03 points or 0.7 percent to 1,363.67.
