Learn The Basics In Binary Options

Vinz de la Fuente - INO.com Contributor - Binary Options

Binary options are a modern way of trading fast and dealing easily in the world of finance. This idea was born and made legal in 2008 in the United States.

The essence in this type of trading is the non-ownership of any asset. There is instead, an attempt to somehow foresee the course of the underlying asset. One chooses an asset and gives a prediction of its movement. It is an investment in the present.

How do binaries operate?

In not so many words, binary options give you two choices - the choice to be right or the choice to be wrong. Either one wins, or one loses. There is no gray area.

It is not as scary as it sounds. Binary options, as a concept, is simple and concise. You choose an asset after which you foresee whether or not the price of the said asset will go up or go down in price.

Once you have made a decision, the broker you have made a deal with will show you the percentage of the amount. This will be returned to you before you have signed on your money to the trade.

You will then choose the amount that you want to invest. You will also choose the period within which you are willing to work. After taking all of these factors into consideration, you may then click on the button that finalizes the trade. Execution will take place. Continue reading "Learn The Basics In Binary Options"

New Week, New Month, New Opportunities

It's hard to believe how quickly this summer has passed, but here we are already in August.

Traditionally August is the hottest month of the year, but the question is, will the markets get hot in August and start moving up?

Let's take a look at what happened in July to find out which markets put smiles on investors' faces and which markets led some investors to the poor house.

The biggest loser last month in the major market category is crude oil, which lost an astounding 21.2% for the month of July. The next biggest loser was gold, which must have put a shudder in the spines of the gold bugs (do bugs have spines?).

The euro, while it lost ground, was nothing compared to the other two markets with a mere loss of 1.4%. All three of these markets did nothing to put a smile on investors faces unless they were either short or you had puts in the options market. Renewable Cash Flow

Adam Feik - INO.com Contributor - Energies

Having spent the lion's share of the last two weeks in Las Vegas and Denver, I've seen my share of solar panels lately. In fact, the express purpose of my Denver trip was to visit and tour a solar plant owned by Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company, a non-traded publicly-registered "YieldCo" investment available to qualified investors through advisors.

Want proof? Here's a dashing photo of me at Greenbacker's Denver International Airport Solar Farm, taken just this Wednesday:

Greenbacker Denver International Airport Solar Farm

The tour was very interesting, as was our group's educational seminar about Greenbacker (I was an attendee). Greenbacker currently owns 82 already-producing solar facilities in 7 states plus Ontario, Canada. Since the firm's goal is to provide its investors with steady, increasing cash distributions, Greenbacker has locked in contracts with an average of 16 years remaining to sell power to its "offtakers," including credit-worthy utilities, government entities, and corporations. Most contracts include some modest annual increase to account for inflation. Continue reading "Renewable Cash Flow"

Indian Rupee: In It For The Long Haul?

Lior Alkalay - INO.com Contributor - Forex

Over the past few months, the focus in the FX space alternated between a likely Fed rate hike to a possible Grexit to the woes in China. Justifiably, all of those matters will undoubtedly shape the dynamics and future trends of FX. But while the FX market has been busy focusing on the major currencies, opportunities might be passing by.

It may be that FX investors are missing some long-term value trends that could be rewarding if one exercises patience. One of those trends is the Indian Rupee. The Rupee's been hidden from center stage but is gradually being positioned into a long-term bullish trend. Now while that does pose some risk, it could become worthwhile for those willing to engage. So why now is the Indian Rupee on the verge of becoming interesting? Continue reading "Indian Rupee: In It For The Long Haul?"

Gold Futures

Gold futures in the December contract settled last Friday at 1,086 while currently trading at 1,194 experiencing a wild trading session this Friday afternoon with the U.S dollar trading sharply lower as I’ve been recommending a short position in the August contract as we rolled over into the December contract today so continue to place your stop loss above the 10 day high which stands at 1,110 an ounce. Gold futures have traded sideways for the last two weeks and looks to be forming some type of short-term bottom, but I will stick to my trading rules and keep the proper stop loss as I still see no reason to own gold but if we are stopped out move on and look at other markets that are beginning to trend as we have been short from around the 1,170 level as prices have stalled out in recent weeks.
