Weekly Futures Recap With Mike Seery

We’ve asked Michael Seery of SEERYFUTURES.COM to give our INO readers a weekly recap of the Futures market. He has been Senior Analyst for close to 15 years and has extensive knowledge of all of the commodity and option markets.

Michael frequently appears on multiple business networks including Bloomberg news, Fox Business, CNBC Worldwide, CNN Business, and Bloomberg TV. He is also a guest on First Business, which is a national and internationally syndicated business show.

Precious Metal Futures-- The precious metals in New York this week are slightly lower ending on a negative note this Friday afternoon with gold down $1 dollars at 1, 714 an ounce, down $16 for the trading week still trading below its 20 day moving average of 1, 713 and still trading significantly above its 100 day moving average at 1, 682 still kind of stuck in a sideways trend. Gold futures are still 5% below the contract highs in the December contract which happened on 2/29/12 at 1, 801 an ounce and has been trading in the high 1600s the low 1700s for several weeks now despite the fact that there could be a fiscal cliff coming up in about 45 days which generally would push up prices as a flight to quality, however this week that was not the case as investors basically are selling everything. Silver futures for the week were only down about $.30 currently trading at 32.32 an ounce down about $.35 this Friday afternoon still stuck in a sideways non-trendy pattern while trading above its 20 and 100 day moving average and I’m advising traders at this point to sit on the sidelines in silver and gold because there really is no trend in sight. No more Twinkies and why Apple is the perfect example of …

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, co-founder of MarketClub with your mid-day market update for Friday, the 16th of November.

NO MORE TWINKIES!

Today we lost a little bit of American history.

Hostess Brands, Inc., founded as Interstate Bakeries Corporation (IBC) in 1930, was the largest wholesale baker and distributor of bakery products in the United States and is the owner of Twinkies and a host of other well known American brands.

After threatening on November 14th to liquidate unless bakers striking in protest against a new contract imposed in bankruptcy court returned to work, management announced today they have ceased operations at all plants. All 18,500 employees are being laid off … so long Twinkies.

Flash Charts on an iPad... You're kidding me

I love my iPhone and my new iPad, but one of my big frustrations with both Apple devices was not being able to look at our very own Trade Triangles and MarketClub charts.

Now for the good news! That problem has been solved for me with two apps that all work with MarketClub.

Puffin Web Browser:
It is a cute name, it's free or for a small charge, and easily downloadable from the App Store. The Puffin app works just like the Safari browser that is already installed on your iPad and iPhone, but it displays Flash content. Its creators, CloudMosa Inc., claim it "is a wicked fast web browser and renders the full versions of web pages quickly and reliably. It also supports Flash with excellent performance on iPads and iPhones."

Personally, I stick with Safari when surfing the web until I see something that is interesting and requires Flash, then I switch to one of the two browsers we are reviewing here today.

Photon Flash Player Browser for iPad:
According to USA Today, who gives this browser five stars, "Photon browser is a powerful and versatile Safari alternative that excels in its flash support..." This browser can be used instead of Safari to look at MarketClub charts. Created by Appsverse Inc., the app is available for free or a small charge.

Every success in using MarketClub with your iPad,

Adam Hewison

When you read about it, it's too late!!

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, co-founder of MarketClub with your mid-day market update for Thursday, the 15th of November.

It's too late!

All we have been hearing about lately is the infamous "Fiscal Cliff". The "Fiscal Cliff" has become an obsession with the financial press and you cannot turn on a financial cable news show or read news on the web without the "Fiscal Cliff" looming over us like a big storm cloud.

Here's a reality check: Long before you could read about the "Fiscal Cliff" problem, the markets were telling you in no uncertain terms that things were not rosy for the economy. We're not saying the markets knew that Gov. Romney was not going to get elected, that the "Fiscal Cliff" was about to hit us like a rogue asteroid, and that Europe was about to implode. The reason doesn't matter, the markets started heading south over a month ago! Continue reading "When you read about it, it's too late!!"
