MarketClub Trumps The Billionaire Hedge Fund Managers Again

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

I'm sure you have heard that one before, right?

Okay, here at MarketClub I have my own version of that statement, and it goes like this.

"Give a man (or woman) a trade and he's a winner for a day. Teach a man (or woman) to trade with Trade Triangles and he (or she) is set for a lifetime of success."

I know that's a pretty big claim, but here is how I am going to prove it to you:

I have an app on my iPhone called iBillionaire and every once in a while this app shows you how the billionaire hedge fund managers are doing for the year. Most recently on September 13th, I noticed that even the billionaire hedge fund managers were having a hard time with the markets.

Looking at the top 10 billionaire hedge fund managers' performance, only four managed to be on the plus side for the year.

Here are the results of the top 5 billionaire hedge fund managers for 2015 ending on September 13th: Continue reading "MarketClub Trumps The Billionaire Hedge Fund Managers Again"

CVS - An Undervalued Healthcare Juggernaut

Noah Kiedrowski - INO.com Contributor - Biotech

Introduction

CVS presents a compelling investment opportunity in the healthcare space. CVS has been highly acquisitive, growing its dividends over time and has an aggressive share buyback program in place. CVS is currently the largest prescription drug dispenser and the second-largest pharmacy benefits manager. Along with its recent acquisitions and partnerships will significantly expand its footprint and ability to dispense prescriptions to the general public and in assisted living and long-term care facilities that serve the senior patient population. As the United States continues to absorb an aging population alongside growing overall healthcare costs, more specifically prescription drug costs, CVS looks poised to benefit and continue to outperform the broader market.

CVS Health – A true healthcare company

Approximately one year ago, CVS announced that it had removed all tobacco products from its stores nationwide and would no longer sell any tobacco related products to its customers. This was a bold move as CVS has become the trailblazer in establishing itself as a true health oriented company. Ceasing tobacco sales negatively impacted overall sales, however, this move established itself as a true healthcare focused company. "One year ago, we stopped selling tobacco products because it conflicted with our purpose of helping people on their path to better health," said Troyen A. Brennan, M.D., M.P.H., Chief Medical Officer, CVS Health. "Today, we are excited to release new data demonstrating the positive impact our decision has had on public health overall as shown by a measurable decrease in the number of cigarette purchases across all retailers." Personally, I like companies that stand behind their name and practice what they advocate and, in this case, it's promoting overall health and wellbeing. Investors Bet On Housing Again (Just In Time For Another Implosion?)

By Elliott Wave International

The U.S. housing market may be about to implode -- again.

Before I get into the "why," know that the residential real estate market never fully recovered.

Annualized new home sales this past July stood at 507,000, vs. the July 2005 peak of 1.39 million. The chart and commentary from the August Elliott Wave Theorist offer:

The percentage of Americans who own a home is still plummeting despite the partial recovery in real estate prices. Today, the percentage of families owning homes in America has plunged to its lowest level in 48 years, nearly half a century. ... By saddling home-buyers with massive debts, the government has done the opposite of what it promised; it has ruined the American Dream for tens of millions of families. Now it's doing the same thing to education ... .

Yes, U.S. student loans amount to some $1.2 trillion. Yet the new on-campus trend is luxury student housing. Continue reading "Investors Bet On Housing Again (Just In Time For Another Implosion?)"

Gold Futures

Gold futures in the December contract are sharply higher this Friday in New York trading up $20 at 1,137 an ounce after settling last Friday at 1,103 reacting to the Federal Reserve yesterday not raising interest rates sending gold sharply higher with high volatility. Gold is trading above its 20 day but still below its 100 day moving average telling you that the trend is mixed as I’ve been sitting on the sidelines for quite some time as this trend is extremely choppy as I’m advising investors to avoid this market at the current time and wait for better chart structure before entering. I was recommending a silver trade getting stopped out a couple of days back as the precious metals as a whole have rallied as it looks like the Federal Reserve is very hesitant to raise interest rates which is bullish commodity markets at least here in the short-term, but the true breakout in gold is above 1,170 but look at other markets that are beginning to trend with less risk. It's Friday And Things Could Get Very Ugly

Yesterday Janet Yellen, the head of the Federal Reserve Board, did exactly what I expected her to do and that was nothing. As I have said many times, the Fed is out of bullets and out of options.

If you have practically zero interest rates, how much lower can you go?

It's the end of the week and things could get very ugly in the market today. Earlier this week I talked about not getting suckered into the fake rally as the major trend in the indices was and still is on the downside. Today may prove that I was right and here's why.
