Break Rules, Change The World!

Indeed, we are living in an exciting time of dramatic changes in our world. Nowadays, when you talk about the channel, it can be YouTube, not MTV. When you need a ride, it can be Uber, not a taxi. When you are going to shop it can be on Amazon or Alibaba, not at Wal-Mart and we can count on further changes in the future.

By the way, Uber is the largest taxi company, but it has no cars, same as Alibaba which is the largest retailer, but it has no stores. Today I want to review the currency that has no controlling government, but has the value, the value that people are ready to pay for with real fiat money.

Cryptocurrency, digital currency, virtual currency are all the names of Bitcoin (BTC), the digital asset as described in Wikipedia. It doesn't matter what you call it as long at it performs well. Let's look at how it has been behaving for the last year on the chart below. Continue reading "This Coin Beats All!"

This Stock Could Be The Right Flavor For Your Portfolio This Year

Daniel Cross - INO.com Contributor - Equities

After a disappointing 2015 for the stock market in general with the S&P 500 ending basically flat, investors will need to exercise extra care when selecting solid companies for this year. One way to make sure your stock picks are high quality is to follow those that performed well in an otherwise apathetic market.

When macroeconomic fundamentals aren't giving off a positive vibe, investors need to focus on microeconomics – individual companies and their strengths. Certain sectors of the market actually enjoyed a very successful year last year but got overshadowed by the malaise seen in the markets as a whole. Crude Oil Crashes Through $30 And The Market Follows

This is turning out to be a very expensive week for investors who are still holding long positions in this market. As I warned late last year and all this year, I felt the market was and is going to be volatile and more than likely going lower.

Let's go back several years to the first quarter of 2009 when the equity markets bottomed out and began their six-year climb to the stars.

If you look at the S&P 500, you can see that it made a low on the week of March 2, 2009 at 683.38. Six years later on the week of July 13th it closed at a high of 2126.64. I want to look at the market using the Fibonacci tool and see potentially where this index might be headed on the downside. A classic 38.2% Fibonacci retracement takes this index back to 1,574, (it closed at 1,921.84 yesterday). A 50% retracement would bring the S&P 500 back down to 1405.51 and a 62% retracement would take it all the way back down to 1236.24.

The S&P 500 closed last Friday at 1922.03 Continue reading "Crude Oil Crashes Through $30 And The Market Follows"

From the Focused Stock Trader

2015 was a great year for the technology sector. In fact, technology stocks outperformed the stock market in 2015, far outpacing the results of the S&P 500 stock index. Tech leaders Apple, Microsoft, and Alphabet recently released impressive earnings reports and their stocks have risen accordingly. Every investor has their preferred strategy, whether it's income investing, growth investing or alternative strategies. The below tech stocks are strong contenders when it comes to the best technology stocks to invest in for 2016 and beyond.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Apple's stock has seen excellent growth over the past few months, topping out at a high of $134.54 per share. But nothing lasts forever in the world of stocks and Apple shares are now down. Tech analysts have announced that the smartphone market is ready to decline. Due to this, many investors are forecasting a troubled 2016 for Apple and have begun to sell. However, this is a great opportunity for long-term investors to grab some shares of this tech giant at an excellent price. Continue reading "Best Technology Stocks To Invest In For 2016 And Beyond"
